LF tickets for warehouse work
November 4, 2016The difference between working safely at heights and EWP tickets
December 5, 2016There’s a lot of question over the difference between LO and LF forklift licences, and why there are two difference courses instead of one.
As a driver operating an LO forklift, you are required to wear a harness because your platform rises and lowers to enable you to pick stock at varying levels up to 10m.
While it’s important to know what to do and how to do it, safety in this line of work is paramount.
To avoid commons hazards or risks with your picker and to comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, you need training that is relevant to the machinery you intend to operate.
An LO licence qualifies you to operate a load-shifting order pickers, which is very different to what you learn when you gain an LF forklift ticket.
While most may think they can make a seamless transition from operating an LF forklift to operating an order picking LO truck you are not technically qualified to do so until you’ve completed the necessary training.
Fortunately for you, we tailor training to your needs and in many cases we seek out ways to fast track your learning according to your existing knowledge and skillset.
Having existing experience operating an LF ticket will bode well for the transition, but it is absolutely important for legal reasons and for your safety that you are fully educated on and qualified to use the LO order picking forklifts.
Our LO forklift course is a combination of both theoretical and practical components which fully prepare you for roles in the warehouse, transport or logistics sectors.
At Elevated Training, our order picking courses are not only tailored and easy to complete, but also very affordable.
