A white card allows labourers in the field of construction to legally work in the industry. Workers who require a white card include site managers, supervisors, surveyors, tradespeople and apprentices who access or are employed in operational construction zones.

You can obtain a white card by undertaking an official course provided by a registered training organisation (RTO) such as Elevated Training. Depending on the state you live in, you will receive a white card relevant to that area, for example a Queensland construction induction card. To apply, you must be over the age of 14 and will need to provide 100 points of ID.

We’ll educate you on standard occupational health and safety procedures within the construction industry and how to prevent injuries and hazards in the workplace. You will also have the opportunity to learn about legislation and your rights as a worker including communication, management and compensation.

Once you have completed your training, we issue you with a statement to prove you are successfully qualified to own a white card, which you can use until you receive your card in the post. It can take up to 30 days for your white card to be issued and it does not have an expiration date. It is important to remember however, that if you don’t work in the construction industry for two years or more you will need to reapply for the training.

Your white card will provide you with instant certification and a unique card number that can be referenced when applying for work or for self-employment. If you’d like to learn more about our white card construction induction, simply contact the team to get started!
